The Inglorious Poet

Bristol / UK

From the outskirts of the hugely cultured city of Bristol, home to many diverse and talented artists. He grew up with 3 brothers and was son to a pretty much single mother struggling through life. He fell in love with Hip-Hop after listening to Tupacs ‘Changes’ on The Box back in 1998. That’s where it all started and from that moment his the love for poetry and Hip-Hop started to grow day by day, rhyme by rhyme. His Mother was a big influence back then always playing soul and Motown records which is his love for music runs in his veins so deeply. His biggest influences are Common, Talib Kweli, Kanye (Early), Mos Def, Nas and Tupac, but also listened to the likes of Immortal Technique, Eminem, The Game and 50 Cent growing up as a teen. The Poets aim with this music is to entertain, inspire and raise awareness where possible. As there seems to be a lack of knowledge being sent out to the kids of the future.
